Gai was approached by ten community members in Mabok who have mobility disorders which mean that they are unable to walk and are limited to crawling on their hands, knees or bottoms. Timpir has run a targeted fundraising campaign through which we have raised $3500 to purchase hand-pedalled tricycles for these 10 people. A local tricycle maker in Aweil town (who uses one of the chairs himself) has constructed the ten chairs and these were delivered to the recipients shortly after the Timpir board members travelled to South Sudan in February 2012.
