School Lunch Program

Adim

Adim

Right now South Sudan is experiencing a severe food crisis. The cost of food has risen astronomically due to the conflict in Ukraine causing grain shortages and the Covid-19 pandemic. This has made it extremely difficult for families to keep their children in school.

By supporting Timpir’s school lunch program, this will allow students to stay in school through the most difficult period of the famine.
Food programs are an evidence-based means to support girls to stay in school longer through more educational opportunities. Boys are also at risk of being removed from school to help provide for their families during the famine.

Donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made by using the following link:

Teacher sponsorship program

There are currently seven teachers employed at Wäramoth Primary School and five teachers employed at Mabok Primary School. These teachers are all paid monthly salaries by Timpir. To enable Timpir to continue paying these teachers and improving access to education in South Sudan please consider sponsoring a teacher.

See the teacher sponsorship page for more information.
