Wäramoth Community Projects
- Wäramoth Primary School
Since 2007, Wäramoth Primary School has grown from an ‘under tree’ school with one volunteer teacher to a seven classroom school with seven salaried teachers. Click here to see the development of Wäramoth Primary School over the past seven years. - Horse and Cart
Thanks to the amazing support of Timpir’s generous donors we were able to raise $3145 for a horse and cart to help the Wäramoth community cart bricks for the school building project. - Christmas Gift Program
Timpir ran Christmas gift programs at the end of 2006, 2007 and 2008. Donations were made by people in Australia and these were purchased and distributed in South Sudan. - Digging of bore hole
Timpir has facilitated the digging of a bore hole in Wäramoth region. Click here to find more information about the bore hole. - Donation of birthing kits
Timpir delivered 400 Zonta birthing kits to traditional birthing attendants in the Aweil region of South Sudan in 2007 and 2008. - Donkey and Plough Microloans
In 2012 Timpir board members provided members of the Wäramoth community with 10 donkeys and ploughs which were given to 10 members of the community to farm under a microloan scheme. The donkeys and ploughs will improve the yield of small-scale farmers and the microloans will be repaid over a 4 year period.
